Dr. Az Hakeem

MBBS MSc FRCPsych

‘Dr Az’ is a Consultant Psychiatrist, Medical Psychotherapist, Group Analyst and Author. He is Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at University College London Medical School where he also trained.

Dr Az has worked in Psychiatry since 1997 and was formerly a Consultant  Psychiatrist in the NHS with a joint post at The Portman Clinic (Tavistock & Portman Foundation Trust) alongside Camden & Islington Foundation Trust.

His private practice has been based in Harley Street since 2013 and he also sees patients at Wimbledon and remotely via zoom.

Dr. Robert Common

Along with Dr Az Hakeem and Dr Lauran Callaghan, Robert  is a fellow founder of Psyche Clinic. Bringing a wealth of experience from inpatient treatment to our outpatient clinic. He has decades of experience working in mental health and social services, with a particular focus on gender, sexuality, and diversity. He is also a clinical trauma therapist. Robert holds a clinical doctorate and a master’s in social work. He is passionate about helping clients through their individual journeys.

A Clinical Psychologist, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Author who specalises in the treatment of anxiety disorders, obsessional problems and trauma including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Body Dysmoprhic Disorder (BDD), Panic Attacks, Anxiety, Worry and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

We believe in building strong therapeutic relationships, rooted in trust and mutual respect. Whether you're looking for short-term support or long-term therapeutic work, our approach is flexible, collaborative, and always centred on your wellbeing.
