Dr Akande offers a thoughtful, highly personalised therapeutic approach grounded in compassion, clinical expertise and genuine collaboration. Working integratively, he tailors therapy to the unique needs, history, and goals of each person, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model.
He has particular expertise in trauma-informed therapy, culturally informed practice and supporting people navigating experiences that may feel longstanding, overwhelming or difficult to put into words. Clients often seek his support for difficulties relating to trauma, anxiety, depression, identity, relationships, self-criticism, burnout, and the emotional impact of high-pressure personal or professional lives.
Known for his calm and reflective style, Dr Akande aims to create a therapeutic space that feels supportive, respectful, and psychologically safe – enabling clients to develop deeper understanding, resilience and meaningful long-term change.
